How to connect to a Remote Counsel Cameo event
Depending on how the hosting firm setup the event, there are two ways participants can connect to Cameo.
1) The first method is single click access. If the hosting firm scheduled the event with "unrestricted access", the email invitation will have a link that can be clicked to connect.
If this is the first time using Cameo, clicking the link will prompt you to install, then launch the Zoom app. If you've attended a Cameo event before, it will simply launch the Zoom app.
2) The second method requires participants to go to Remote Counsel, create an account, login, then access the event. If the event was not created with "unrestricted access" enabled, the invitation email will contain a login or create account link for participants.
- Click the login or create account link.
- The landing page will prompt you to login.
- If you do not already have an account, click the sign up link on the login page.
- If you have an account, but don't remember your password, click the forgot password link.
- Fill out the sign up form and submit. A verification email will be sent to the email address used on the sign up form. You'll have to click the link in the verification email to activate the newly created account. If you cannot find the verification email, please check your spam and junk email folders. If you still can't find the verification email, please contact our support staff at the email or phone listed at the end of this article.
- Once your account is active, login to Remote Counsel. It will take you to your event page. On this page you will see a list of events you have access to. A join button will be visible next to active events. The join button is not visible for past and future events.
- Click the join button to connect to your Cameo session.
- If this is the first time using Cameo, you will be prompted to download and install the app, else it will auto launch and connect you to your event.
